Heidi Walton is a real-estate buyer’s dream. She helped us through the entire process of buying a condo, including what we should be aware of as well as what the benefits of location, maintenance, etc. were. She was patient, knowledgeable and sincerely pleasant through our whole buying process from initial contact right through the closing and even afterward as she helped us with window treatment recommendations. When looking for an investment lake front property, Heidi listened to my needs and compiled a list of 17 possible properties that were actually on the waterfront, not just near it like some of the other local agents tried to show me. Heidi set aside a weekend and showed me every one of those 17 properties in just a 2-day period. After looking at all these properties and while I was rating them and crunching the numbers, she found some handyman specials that were priced well above these listings but had been on the market a long time and might except a lower offer within my investment budget.
Low and behold she showed me my dream property. I made what I considered to be a reasonable offer, and the owners were of course insulted by it. Heidi reminded me that patience sometimes pays off, and after she reminded the listing agent and the owners how much overhead their unused property cost them each year, they accepted our offer and I ended up with the property (4 buildings on almost 2 acres) for the assessed value of the land.
If it weren’t for Heidi’s dedicated professional approach, flawless research, and commitment of time well above the call of duty, I would have had to settle for second or third best choice instead.
